There’s Still a Difference
Bro. Jackson Hill · Friday Night Youth Service · October 9, 2026 Introduction: Called to be different God instructed the priests to teach His people the difference between the holy and the profane, the clean and the unclean. Drawing from that principle, this message reminds believers that God still calls His church to be set apart. Jesus did not come to leave us unchanged. His saving work produces a new life, and that difference should be evident in how we live, what we pursue, and where we place our hope.

A Different Way of Living
- Holiness reaches every part of life—not only our appearance, but also our speech, attitudes, conduct, and treatment of others.
- Peter’s instruction to be holy in all manner of “conversation” refers to our entire manner of living.
- As Christians, we bear Christ’s name and represent Him before the world. Our allegiance must remain with Him.
- What we continually give our time and attention to shapes us. Sowing to the flesh produces corruption; sowing to the Spirit produces lasting fruit.
Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Peter 1:15; 1 John 2:15–17; Galatians 6:8.

A Different Calling
- God has called His people out of darkness and into His marvelous light. We belong to Him.
- We are not merely called away from sin and bondage; we are called into fellowship with Christ and a life devoted to Him.
- Being set apart is not simply a list of things we surrender. In Christ, we receive joy, peace, and the promises of God.
- Do not allow the enemy to persuade you that following Jesus is a loss. Remember the privilege of being a child of God.
Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9.

A Personal Experience with God
- Remember the greatness of your salvation and regularly thank the Saviour who changed your life.
- Every generation needs its own experience with God. Young people cannot depend solely on the experiences of their parents or grandparents.
- Continue seeking the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Do not assume that God’s promise is for everyone except you.
- The Holy Ghost empowers believers to witness, worship, and live holy. Spiritual power and a consecrated life must not be separated.
Scriptures: Hebrews 2:3; Psalms 51:12.

A Different Hope
- Our hope reaches beyond this present life. We belong to heaven and look forward to being with Christ.
- This confidence rests in God’s grace and the salvation He provides, not in our own accomplishments.
- The hope of seeing Jesus should inspire purity, faithfulness, and a willingness to live differently now.
- Keep pressing toward God’s high calling instead of allowing this world to determine your direction.
Scriptures: Philippians 3:14, Philippians 3:20; 1 Corinthians 15:19; 1 John 3:3.
Closing Challenge
Are you willing to be different? Examine your conduct, your priorities, and what you are seeking.
