Thursday Night Campmeeting- Quitting Is Not An Option

Sermon

Quitting Is Not an Option

Bro. David Webb · Thursday Night Campmeeting · October 8, 2026 Introduction: Renew your determination to go on Jeremiah was weary from opposition, ridicule, and the burden of his calling. He decided he would no longer speak in the Lord’s name, but God’s Word burned within him until he could not remain silent. This message challenges believers of every age to renew their commitment to Jesus. The journey may become difficult, but weariness does not have to become surrender.

Read Jeremiah 20:7–9 in the KJV
  1. 01

Let God’s Fire Overcome Your Weariness

    • Jeremiah’s discouragement was real, but the fire of God’s Word was stronger than his desire to quit.
    • Tears, questions, frustration, and struggling to stand do not mean that we have abandoned the race.
    • When we become tired of the battle, we need renewed spiritual fire—not distance from God.
    • Ask the Holy Ghost to revive your heart and strengthen your determination to continue.

    Scripture: Jeremiah 20:7–9.

  2. 02

    Remember God’s Faithfulness

    • Before deciding that you cannot continue, remember what God has already done in your life.
    • Answered prayers and past help remind us that the Lord has not forgotten us.
    • Do not measure God’s presence only by what you feel in a difficult moment. Christ has promised to remain with His people.
    • Let gratitude renew your confidence and remind you why you began following Jesus.

    Scripture: Matthew 28:20.

  3. 03

    Stay Faithful in the Process

    • Pressure can tempt us to stop praying, serving, teaching, or believing God for our families.
    • Our responsibility is to remain faithful; producing the increase belongs to God.
    • Do not abandon the work simply because the results have not appeared when you expected.
    • Keep praying and doing what God has given you to do. A long season of waiting does not make faithfulness wasted.

    Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:6–7.

  4. 04

    Stand Firm in Your Commitment

    • Adversity reveals our need for spiritual strength and settled commitment.
    • Refuse to let discouragement persuade you to turn away from Jesus or abandon holiness.
    • When you stumble or become weary, get up and continue rather than accepting defeat.
    • Choose obedience and peace, even when an easier path appears attractive.

    Scriptures: Proverbs 24:10; Hebrews 12:14.

    Closing Challenge

Bring your weariness to the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to renew the fire of the Holy Ghost in your soul and restore your resolve to follow Jesus.

Remember His faithfulness, keep serving, and refuse to turn back. Quitting is not an option.
