Carry It Beyond Camp Meeting

Suggested title F.G.B.I. Student · Sunday Evening Service · October 11, 2026 Introduction: Keep walking with God Camp meeting may be over, but God’s faithfulness has not ended. The same Lord who met us in powerful services will be with us when we return to work, school, and everyday responsibilities. The commitments made around an altar must become part of daily life. This message calls believers to trust God’s promise, continue in purity, and remain faithful in prayer.

Read Hebrews 13:5–6 in the KJV
  1. 01

    Trust His Promise

    • God’s promise to remain with His people does not depend on how strongly we feel His presence. We walk by faith, not by sight.
    • Elijah experienced discouragement after seeing God’s power on Mount Carmel. Yet the Lord still provided strength, care, and direction.
    • God has not promised a life without difficulty. We must trust His faithfulness and timing when circumstances are hard to understand.
    • His presence goes with us into ordinary life. We can confidently tell others about Jesus, knowing that the Lord is our helper.

    Scriptures: Hebrews 13:5–6; 2 Corinthians 5:7; 1 Kings 19:1–18.

  2. 02

    Continue in Purity

    • Holiness belongs in every part of life—not only in church services or outward appearance, but also in our hearts, attitudes, actions, and private conduct.
    • Salvation is by grace, not something earned through good works. But salvation should produce a changed life.
    • Daniel determined that he would not defile himself. Believers of every age need that same resolve to honor God despite surrounding pressure.
    • Follow through on the commitments made during camp meeting. Do not return to things God dealt with or abandon promises to pray, serve, and live faithfully.

    Scriptures: 1 Peter 1:15–16; Romans 12:2; Daniel 1:8; Hebrews 12:14.

  3. 03

    Continue in Prayer

    • A prayer life must continue when the altars are no longer crowded and no one else is around. Daily fellowship with God cannot depend on special meetings.
    • Work, school, tiredness, and distractions compete for our attention. Make room for prayer and Scripture instead of continually postponing them.
    • Seek God because you desire a relationship with Him—not only when you need help. Give Him first place in your priorities.
    • Continue seeking the fullness of the Holy Ghost, praying with others, and yielding to His direction. His power equips believers to witness and stand for what is right.

    Scriptures: Romans 12:12; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Matthew 6:33; Acts 1:8.

    Closing Challenge

Jesus calls us to take up our cross daily and follow Him. Do not leave your commitment at the altar or wait for another revival before seeking God seriously.

Carry your faith into your home, your work, and your relationships. Keep praying, reading Scripture, living holy, and obeying the Holy Ghost. Yesterday’s blessing must not replace today’s fellowship with God.

    Scripture: Luke 9:23.
